Math Centers

Math centers give students an opportunity to take their knowledge and apply it within real life scenarios. Students can make connections between lessons and apply them as they practice their skills, feeling comfortable to make mistakes in the process. Math centers also give students an opportunity to strengthen their communication skills as they play games and interact with their classmates.

 

As a teacher, I love using math centers to differentiate learning, conference with individual students and assess students along the way. Students can work at their own pace during math centers and can gain confidence in their individualized learning.
